You're celebrating some sort of stock market crash?

I guess Red's putting the sale up early, but "black Friday" generally refers to the day after Thanksgiving here in the US.  For those of us who've slogged it out in retail jobs, it has a negative connotation.  For the bean counters, the "black" refers to "in the black" ('coz they're the ones who see the money...!)

turns out that it's the first day of shopping for christmas and people rush out and start spraying everything with bitumen. boy, it's a hoot, unless you're a black feathered owl. oddly, tax men are unafraid on this day.

Interesting, we don't have a specific day for Christmas sales here, well maybe Boxing Day or the Day after Boxing Day *depending on which state you live in).  Our November holidays (Armistice Day & Melbourne Cup) just don't lend themselves to shopping...

But isn't tomorrow awfully late to start Christmas shopping?  Retailers her have been at it for weeks already... At least mid-October.  Spring here has no real holidays.  Nothing retailable in October or September (except Father's Day) either.

I look forward to the day I simultaneously have the time, money, and space to get involved in one of Red's sales...the man has a serious knack for digging up things I'd like to buy.   :-D

Gotta stimulate the economy with Amiga sales!

Financial sector guys are closet Amigans...

I sold an old beatup A500 to a Brit living here in NYC working for a Huge financial firm. Wanted to know how to connect an A500 to a 42" flat screen. He just wanted to play Sensible Soccer after a hectic day...

"retro user bail out plan"

will this bail out the car industry, fix the economy and add 10k back to my retirement portfolio? ;-)
