Amiga Users In Sydney AU?
« on: November 15, 2008, 04:27:24 AM »
G'day mates! My wife and I are leaving for a trip to Sydney AU next week and I was curious to know if any Amiga users from the area could offer any tourist tips?

P.S. I have an old VIC-20 I could bring along if anyone's in the market! LOL!

Ron

Hi Ron,

I'm sure you'll have a great time... you have terrific timing too, one of your dollars gets you almost two of ours!

Two things I'd recommend,

Go for a bridge walk, you can climb over the Harbour Bridge ( as part of a group ) & book your wife and wourself in for dinner at the revolving restaurant in Centrepoint Tower, I can't remember what the food was like but the views of Sydney at night are beautiful...

Have a great trip!

PS. watch out for drop bears.

I recommend anything around Circular Quay. Its a very nice area. Maybe even book yourself in for a harbour cruise.

I spent three months in Sydney beginning of this year. As a visitor, Bondi Beach is a must-go-to. Surf classes are around $100 aud, well worth the experience.

Swimming with the dolphins is probably worth doing too if you can find a place that isnt booked out. Maybe Husskison on the South Coast which is 2.5 hours south of Sydney

Thanks to everyone for all of your great suggestions. They sound like brilliant ideas and we'll probably do most of them.
Also just curious to know if there are any Amiga user groups in Sydney.

P.S. On a more serious note...  we plan to put forks in the our hair and  Vegemite behind our ears to ward off the Drop Bears!
