The sooner Amiga Inc. are consigned to the history books the better.  Good riddance.

So I guess that A500, 600, 1000, 2000, CDTV, CD32, are pure garbage then? Thanks for posting here.

Hi impactor,

I totally agree, but unfortunately it's an attempt at mediation, and Amiga Inc. probably won't budge on their demands, making the whole exercise UTTERLY useless, as all they're asking is Hyperion lose everything, while Hyperion may be willing to enter a sharing arrangement, pretty much of what the original contract was, where Amiga Inc. gets royalties, and Hyperion can sell AOS4.x to who ever they want to, ported to whatever is available.

Amiga Inc. has been so vile, stupid, and done so many pointless activities absolutely throwing money away on anything but constructive ventures, that I don't even like the agreement way, and want to see them lose everything as well.

Hyperion Entertainment has a very solid case.

I attended the court case last year (May 31st) in Seattle and A. Inc. was very amusing, trying to stare down Hyperion's 1 lawyer with their 4 lawyers and an assitant. Bill McEwen was there (I figured out later when I was directed to a photo of him). I assume he thought things went swimmingly. :-D HAH! I don't think so.

Hyperion's lawyer was fantastic. I'd of figured him seeing so many on the opposing side would have phased him, it didn't at all.

I truly don't think Mr. Kinsel would have taken the case if he didn't think it had legs.

Check out Amiga Inc.'s big guns:

Hi Atheist,

Yeah I guess my wish for the demise of Amiga Inc. is a little optimistic - dream on, eh?  :-D

Makes you think though, if they can afford to hire a "big-shot legal team", why Amiga Inc. never put some of that cash into doing some real development, but I guess this must be their last shot at glory?

Victory to Hyperion.  :-D

Everything that made Amiga great is now very much part of everything Apple releases these days.  Amiga will live the rest of its retirement in the hobbyists' basements and garages.

:madashell: Damn I get sick of hearing this "I love Apple" crap. Amiga was great because of a fantastic vision of hardware and OS blended with a grace that is still in many ways unmatched. Mac's are bloody X86 pc's with a nice OS! I find it amazing that you made this comment given how many times we've covered such ground on this forum. Please just refrain from the mac comparisons, they are not that valid once you look a little closer and have taken up pages of forum posts so many times I've lost count.

Falling into a dark and red rage.

Hopefully a late Christmas present...

What's bloody wrong with bloody X86 pc's?

Was there also something wrong with pre-X86 PowerPC Apple pc's?

@Tripitaka

Man, raggin' on the x86. Hardware is hardware. Every modern PC (read: personal computer) has function-specific hardware, and all modern operating environments do pretty much the same things: arbitrate access to hardware, interface with the user, control processes, provide a consistent look and feel, etc.
