« on: November 11, 2008, 08:56:48 PM »
[rant start]

Normally like everyone else I never have a bad word to say about amigakit, but there website is driving me up the wall! I forgot my password, so used the forgot password feature and it said it sent me a new password but never recieved anything from the site, so tryed afew days later and same again never recieved anything (I dont use spam filters so it not blocked and its not a free host account).

So thought I'd use the live support!

Sorry but support is currently not availabe!

So thought well I'll email them so go to the contact page:

I emailed them afew days ago to see about making a cable but never recieved a reply, so thought I'd post this here to see if it gets noticed.

Their website leaves a lot to be desired, but their service is excellent. I'm sure they will post here soon.

I guess its built on OsCommerce since the site is built on tables.

OsCommerce is a bit difficult to configure to your design mind, but IMHO they have done a descent job on amigakit.com

@nasty

Thank you for your feedback.

After your report, I have just tested the automated email reset process and it is currently working.  The automated email must have been blocked.  Check with your ISP.

Alternatively we are able to reset your password over the telephone or by pmail here.

When you send an email to our sales mailbox (regarding your cable inquiry) you should have received an automated confirmation email.  Did you email the correct mailbox?  Are mailbox is sales [at] amigakit.com and not sales [at] amigakit.co.uk

Feel free to feedback how we can improve the webstore- we have a customer feedback form here: http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/customer_satisfaction.php

That could be more than likely, I've noticed they have been playing around and all my error pages (404 etc)are being redirected to an orange page.
