No bids yet, still at $0.01. Take a shot! :-)

How does one go about getting a CD drive aligned?

That is a good question. If you see the pictures, one picture shows potentiometers on the side of the CD drive. I'd guess someone could determine the drive manufacturer and get information to go from there.

You take it to the GeekSquad at Bestbuy.  Just tell them you have a "Service Plan".  ;-)

No, in one of the pictures on the side of the cd drive you can see 4 plastic screw type adjustemnts.  You use those.

Here are instructions for aligning the CD drive on a CD32.  Might work for the CDTV or you can probably find specs for the drive.
Amiga CD32 CD-ROM Lens alignment
A3000D (16mhz, 2MB Chip, 4MB Fast, SCSI (300+MB), SuperGen Genlock, Kick 3.1)
Back in my day, we didn\'t have water. We only had Oxygen and Hydrogen, and we\'d just have to shove them together.

Just wondering, how did you play floppy games without keyboard or mouse? (Or did you just boot them)

I'm sure Red will answer, but remembering from my CDTV days, the wireless controller you see pictured there functions just like a joystick.  So he probably just used that.  That aside, I thought it has a keyboard port right there in the front right corner? There's a little cover that flips up and down I believe. (I think you can use a wireless keyboard as well)

Correct, the controller can function like a joystick.

eBay user 0ldsk00lgamer is now added to my blocked buyers list. High bids retraced within 24 hours of auction close rewards you with a ban :furious:

Hi,
if the Laser Pickup get unaniligned, this means that it's dying.
As i can see, it looks like a Sony KSS 210 series or JVC optima 1 or 3.
Both are avaible at low price on the net.

@Red : can you tell us which information you can found on the laser pickup sticker ? (sometimes it's under..).
Keep the Faith !
