Your favourite case shape
« on: November 09, 2008, 11:54:38 AM »
 Hi,

I need another 15 orders for the new batch of white Minimig enclosures, so please keep them coming. Only 15 more.

I am going to pay for the rest of the order myself somehow (I have already started selling some of my precious Amiga stuff on ebay to finance it; boxed games and some other hardware bits).

Once I have raised enough money I'll make a prototype of one of my designs for the SAM/SAM Flex so I would like you to vote for your favourite shape.

Thank you.
:-)

1) Pizza box style (flat, only a few cm high, rectangular or square)

2) Cube style (space for one 3.5" HD and one 5.25" DVD drive)

3) Wedge with inbuilt keyboard (A500/600/1200 style, 2.5" HD, slim DVD drive)

4) Tower

5) Small footprint box (2.5" HD, slim DVD drive)

6) Big desktop box (A2000/3000/4000 style)

for me it would be either 1) or 6) , but tough enough to hold monitor on top.
I'd choose 6) if I plan on expanding it a lot, and 1) if its 'complete' and if looks really matter.
Better sorry than worry.

I agree with Yaroze.

Make it look like this, and I might be interested.

..if I can do it, anyone can.
3 Commodore file cabinets, 2 Commodore USB turntables, 1 AmigaWorld beer mug
Alienware M14x i7 laptop running AmigaForever

Yeah, definitely if you make a case that fits the SAM and looks like A1200 then wow.  that would be cool and worth buying the sam+os4.1.  affordable pricing would also be critical.

Re: Your favourite case shape

Why not a modern style A1000 type case that would allow for expansion of course it would have to have room to store a mini style keyboard underneath this type of case would allow room for internal expansion IMHO I allways thought this was the best looking case we ever had closely followed by the 3000 and 1200 cases just a thought :-D

I always liked the A1000 style case.  Sleek, and a place to store the keyboard.

I don't care what it looks like, as long as it's sturdy and fits the motherboard efficiently.  ;-)
