If it's FAT formatted , use 'Add pc-Drives at startup' in the misc section of the WinUAE config window.
If it's Amiga formatted (FFS/SFS etc), use 'Add harddrive' in the harddrives section of the WinUAE config window.

Edit: This can't be changed 'on the fly'. These settings must be active before starting emulation.

In WinUAE at the section where you added the HD (SD Card HD) there should have been a check box to select "Read/Write".  That has to be selected.

If you already saved the configuration just go back to the hardrive tab in WinUAE, highlight the HD and click "Properties" you should see were to put a check in Read/Write.

Hope that's it anyway.

Good. :-)

Was this from a 'real' Amiga, like an IDE-SD card adapter you were using or something?  Might try this out on WinUAE myself using an SD card as an HD :-)

One weird thing about Amigakit is that if you have a problem and you post on here about it, the Amigakit guy is here and unless you address your concerns to him directly, it feels like you're trying to go behind his back and cause trouble. Usually, for examples, you can just complain about Amiga Inc or just how lame Australian bacon is and you can be amongst people who will talk about things and, chances are, AI or the australian bacon industry won't chime in. Weird.

Seems you're a bit confused. This thread is about AmiKit, the Amiga emulation package for PC. Not about AmigaKit, the Amiga store. :-)

This usually happens when your system was restarted or powered off while some process or task was writing to the workbench partition. The only way to solve this is restarting your system and let the validation process finish (which can take a long time). It's one of the most annoying things of the FFS filesystem. It made me switch over to SFS a long time ago, and I never looked back since.

AmiKit is a free program for Windows PCs.

AmigaKit is a company that sells hardware.

The two are not related at all.
