Cheers dude, thanks for the link. I'll have a listen tonight.
Biosphere (Geir Jenssen) has some mp3s available at
his site. He has done a lot of material which I have not heard, though I have really liked nearly all that I have heard. I have some of his early tunes on vinyl, from when I did a bit of DJing. Absolutely fantastic. I love chill tunes on vinyl, for that super comfortable, warm sound. This stuff was geat after a big rave (you know, a proper rave, like they used to make in the good old days ;-) ).
You can find these artists on quite a few ambient radio stations. I listen to spacestation soma, and drone zone at
soma fm, and sometimes listen to the ambient channel at
di fm. The free service at di fm is low bit rate, so I don't listen there for very long (listening fatigue). di fm has quite a lot of Biosphere and Peter Kuhlmann (aka Pete Namlook). At the moment I can't afford an ongoing subscription though. Making the occaisonal donation to soma is an easier model for me.
Well, off to try some new tunes...
edit- mp3s hosted on Biosphere's site are short promos only.
edit2 - actually, at least some of the mp3s are quite long. hey may all be the full tracks, just there are some short ones in the list
