AMOS Pro intstall A4000

I have an A4000/40, OS 3.1, and an original and complete AMOS Pro package. It "installs" without problem, but doesn't run properly -- for example file requesters don't work. The manual says that Assigns are made automatically, but I see none in the startup-sequences? So far I've made no progress with the included config-editor. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Did you use the original installer on the AmosPro disks booting from the first disk directly?  If so the disk may have modified the wrong user-startup file.

If that doesn't solve your problem you might find more solutions at the Amos Factory website plus all of the update disks in the download directory and the compiler as well.
