Good cooling solution for CyberVisionPPC?

So my big bad blue anodized Zalman heatsink that I super glued on each corner of the Permedia chip fell of my card today when I removed it from my A4000.

Maybe just as well, it did not cool GFX-board that good, it got really hot. I suspect you really Really need a fan on the P2.

I need to find another solution. Prefearably one where the heatsink is attached to the graphics card with screws, and a heatsink that will take a 30 or 40 mm fan.

No, -duct tape, wires or zipties wont do it for me 8-)

Anyone got a solution to the problem?

I've mounted a 60mm case fan in the front of my A4000 Desktop, to blow air over the CybervisionPPC and the CPU board itself, it always stays stable, though I do have a small heatsink stuck to the permedia chip too.

I think I had just a 40 mm fan on the Permedia, fixed with just one screw to blow on the chip surface; lazy me...

what is needed is something like this.

glue heatsink permanently to the permedia 2.( ARTIC SILVER ).

if the fan go's faulty you still have a heatsink attacted to the permedia 2 also note you can change the fan by the four screws.

a good idea is to connect the fan power point 5v on the Cybervision/Bvision card itself,this will make the card more plug-in & play. no trailing wires.

look carefully you can see the PHASE 5 heatsink has been cut to fit the heatsink.

this is a old project but is awesome cooling down the 603e ppc.

do a better finish than i have as the above links were test heatsink.

EXTRA NOTES: only use heatsink/fan combo where the fan can be changed. ( very important ).

How about re-attaching it with something like this?

i bought a pack of 8 stick on memory heatsinks for a fiver from maplin,
three fit on the P2 chip
three fit on what i guess is a pci bus chip
two fit on the small chip by the connector that also gets pretty hot.

with a 40mm fan sat above it. and this is in the confines of a desktop A1200 case...

I actually used thermal compound also, but I left four tiny spots for super glue on the corners. Its an old way of mounting heatsinks, goes way back when the blow hole and fanbuss was invented.
