is Amiga Classix (MAC) a good idea?
« on: October 07, 2008, 10:18:42 AM »
Well,I've seen those Amiga Classix cds are availabe for mac, and I was wondering...are they ANY good?
I am VERY picky and exigent with Amiga emulation: I mean, I just can't stand slowdowns not present in the original hardware, and I really need perfect vsync, smoth scroll in horizontal scrollers...

Do AMIGA CLASSIX, with it's well configured e-uae, include those fine features? Or is it anothet {bleep}ty compilation for the stupid eye that can't tell those graphical glitches?

Thanks guys!

And..yeah, my MAC has the recommended requeriments..

IIRC, Amiga Classix CD-Roms contain an out-of-date emulator.  You can emulate with the current emulator, of course, and that should fix most if not all glitches if there were any to start with.

I think the main concern of these discs is that they were often made without permission of the authors and original publishers of these games thus putting them in legal limbo depending on what your country's laws are regarding copyrights.

If you have an Intel Mac you'd even be better of using WinUAE on, yep, Windows. It's by far the best Amiga emulator in my book...
