It might be your nick, but statements like "you are wrong!" can come over as agressive.. And offcourse stating that A500/1200 are toys, well why don't you just kick all Amiga owners in the n*ts  :-D

Anyway, if it weren't for the A500 we may never have seen any other "Big Box" Amiga (or any other for that matter) after the A2000...  ;-)

If you bothered to look at my Signature, you will see that I actually own both a "toy" and a "professional" Amiga, heck, by your reasoning I even own a "professional" C128.

ARGH P-Mail no worky.  I send Crossdos. I say Commodore 64SX was no more pro than C64 orginal flavor. Personally I do own a '2000, tis nice. Tis Failing with stupid GVP, ahem, ot, anyhow.

The A2000HD is a very reliable machine, no probs exept cleaning battery mess. The original accell "GVP Combo 030 40Mhz 16Mb  still works fine, so does the GVP tekmagic 060 I added years ago and am flying now.
Lots of slots, almost full now (see profile) maybe with the new X-Surf I'll take out the Hypercom card & get the one for X-Surf freeing up a slot.
I have a Yamaha cdrw but could not get Burn It to work. Am now awaiting an email from Make CD to get on with that one.

What I want to know, is how having a CDRW drive in an A2000 differs to having one in an A4000?

Maybe it's because of formentioned software probs. To many differnt scsi controllers.

I really can't figure you out.

You come posting here asking for help, and once someone post slightly OT or things not fitting your opinions, you attack them vigorously.

Most of the posters replying are genuinely trying to help, but your actions are driving them away. Eventually no-one will bother to reply or help, fearing you'd jump at them instantly.

Also, stating your opinions as facts is not a good idea. Claiming that "professionals" consider some amiga models "toys" is ridiculous. Grow up already.

As pointed out by many posters A1200 is one of the most reliable and robust Amigas ever made. A1200 expandibility and flexibility is great, you can use it as desktop bare-bone game/demo console, or tower it with PCI/zorro slots and have full blown high-end Amiga system. Certainly not toys, like you want us to believe.

If our replies/help is not appreciated, feel free to find the help elsewhere.
