A4000 floppy drive issues...
« on: October 03, 2008, 01:00:55 PM »
Hi all, me again.
after having a play with my A4000 it turns out that the floppy drive can read disks fine, but on writing, it generates "error on disk block ***"

other amigas also get an error on the same disk block when trying to read the disk writen by the A4000, and it is fixable by just deleting the file the A4000 wrote using another machine. but this isn't much help when its the installation script of my IDEfix97 disk

anyway, as it's the fat type A4000 high density drive, and as these aren't that common, so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas? get a head cleaning disk? re-calibrate the drive?

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD
