MiamiDX GUI install problem
« on: September 28, 2008, 06:17:02 PM »
I've downloaded MiamiDx10_Install.lha & MiamiDx10c-MUI.lha from Aminet but when I try to install the main Miami package, I get the following error ..

"Before you can install MiamiDX you first need to download and unpack the archives that contain the MiamiDx GUI modules you want to install.!

I think the problem may be that I dont know where to put the MUI package that I downloaded. I'm running AmigaSYS4 on an A1200 which I think has MUI 3.8 as part of AmiSYS.

Thanks in advance for any help!

from the MiamiDX guide:

"Download all archives, unarchive them into the same (temporary)
directory, and then execute the Installer script in that directory to
install MiamiDx. The Installer script can be used for a new
installation or for updates."

Thanks, that did the trick. I'm a little rusty with these things ...  :-)
