Which CF card (PIO, DMA, Non-DMA...)
« on: September 19, 2008, 12:43:54 PM »
I went to Transcend site : http://ec.transcendusa.com/product/product_memory.asp?Cid=4&indexnum=2

because I would be interested to change my no-brand 512MB CF by a larger capacity one, and I saw these CF Industrial Series (I guess they should be more reliable due to strict industrial norms especially when it comes to endurance).

There are 4 different Compact Flash types :

- UDMA4 Mode
- PIO Mode
- Non-DMA Mode
- UDMA Mode

Which one should I choose to use as a hardrive in my A1200 (I want to be sure it will work) ?

(I have an AGA A1200 + Blizzard 1260 + 64MB RAM)

Thx.

I could be wrong but I suspect the mode of the card will not make any difference once hooked up to the Amiga's HD interface
