As much as it can take - 4MB isn't it?

PCMCIA SRAM cards are available on eBay.

They'll add up to 4mb of Fast ram to your 600.

I got lucky and scored one for $20 USD last week, but they seem to go for more than that usually.

IIRC PCMCIA RAM slows down the system...?

What are your experiences?

According to the not-100%-reliable SysInfo, with 4MB of PCMCIA RAM, my A600 system is actually a bit faster.

It's probably A1200s that are slowed.

I think that's in reference to the A1200. The PCMCIA is a 16-bit interface, the A1200 wants a 32-bit data path.
