IGame question and WHDload request

Hey all

Firstly
On IGame is there anyway to use the games icon as the screen shot. Most games have some really nice icons (mostly a scan of the box) and it would be really nice to have it automatically use these instead of all the work to make an image file and rename it etc etc

Secondly
I have Dawn Patrol (original uk version) but it doesnt work with my accelerator (neither does Reach for the skies or Overlord) Recently the WHDload install was released for it but when I installed it I get the error "wrong version or bad disk). I downloaded an adf of it but got the same problem. So can anyone get to me a working installed version or an adf/ipf that they know will work.
I can prove I have the original if needed.

IIRC ipf images cannot be shared.
Often people who are using pirated WHDLoad keys get similar errors to yours.

My whdload key is not pirated.
I have a legit key which i bought from whdload.de
I have a legit game which i bought from ebay
I have a real A1200 and am not using an emulators.

Currently iGame does not have this capability, but it's on my todo list  :-)

foleyjo, what version of WHDLoad are you using?

Contact the author of the whdload slave and ask him if he can add support for your version of the game.

ddniUK Im using the one on whdload.de. It says V16.8. Im using v1.0 of the Dawn Patrol installer which supports the English version.
Ive also got the kickstart files that are needed (the ones where you need the RTB's)

Oh jeez...  You also get that error if you have a checksum error on the disk, a disk that had copy protection that got damaged, a physically damaged disk, a disk previously infected with a virus, or any number of other reasons.  I've had that message get spit out from several sets of originals I've bought 2nd hand in box lots years ago.  

Basically, all that error means is that there was some trackdata there other than what the WHDLoad installer was expecting.  It MAY be a different version, it MAY be a pirated version, but more likely, given the age, it's just a DAMAGED DISK.

Besides, he stated right there he could provide proof he has the original.  Unfortunately, if I read it correctly, he needs Dawn Patrol, which I don't have.  :lol:  (I do have Reach for the Skies and Overlord, though, for what it's worth.)

I have Dawn Patrol IPF, I probably have Dawn patrol WHDLOAD installed somewhere too.

[edit] nope, Dawn Patrol WHDLOAD not found, but its not difficult to make WHDLOAD through Winuae using IPF.
