I got back from work late, was setting up a conference room with medical monitors.
I got peanut butter sarnies, pineapple pieces, a bag of Thai sweet Chili crisps and a bottle of WKD blue and a can of Red Bull Cola in the fridge.

TV to the left, PC in front, arse on seat, legs up on desk, real comfortable like. All around me on the floor are books, papers, Amiga hardware, clothes.

It's a freak show, dudes.

Laptop in front, Amiga on the right ( :-D ) Stereo playing Ethiopian blues, and a bottle of fine wine demanding to be opened. And there's a festival (Noorderzon) going on in the city.

You won't be disappointed I think,
though this time I'll be off to the festival I think... After I've finished my dinner (yes it's a titbit late I am aware of that)

I usually spend it feeling sorry for the poor blokes who will be going down the pub and then heading off to discos full of pretty girls. This makes me realise how lucky I am to be...........

Well, I didn't go after all, I was a bit too tired of this week, with all it's social stuff (and maybe I still have a bit of a hangover of last wednesdays)
Tomorrow is a better day.
And somehow I indeed always get all the pretty girls.
Maybe because I don't want 'em.

Friday night is long gone for me, I was, however, working until 2am so I missed it completely :-(

I did have some toons playing through my laptop and I found a few cans of beer in the fridge ;-) So it wasn't all bad :-)

One word: CUDA.

Or at least that's what I was playing with until I crashed my X server and decided it was time to boot into windoze for a spot of Crysis...

I've only just built a system capable of running it so right now I'm learning how to wield it.

Having a 'SIMT' system that can throw hundreds of thousands of threads at a problem (up to ~24000 of which can be executing at any given instant with nearly zero context switch overhead) requires quite a different approach in code design than I'm presently used to :-)

You mean, without bugs? ;-)

Ah well, when my dad learned programming he had to wait 2 days before his program was being processed (the university had a so-called 'calculation centre')
Not very nice for debugging either, so you had to prepare things better before coding.
