@ sim085

They have nothing else but the name Amiga and a few bits of software to their credit ...

If (and it's a BIG if) the NatAmi project steps up and becomes a reality then there could well be a vast market.

Hopefully when the dust finally settles after the lawsuit, we'll be the winners for a change.

All we can do, as consumers is sit back, wait and see ...

i really cant believe that such a great os as aos (and lkes) cant find a nitche market for itself - as risc os does for example.
i was quite amazed when i visited some official risc os sites recently, how professional they are - and risc os has firefox for example (and office suite:)
i think some 10.000 active users should be enough for some small company to make a livin - dont need to go big.
there are plenty of users who are intrested only in classic hw/os, make new classic hw for them, minimig, natami like, or replacement mb's for old 1200/4000. amiga in a joystick!
for those who are intrested in modern amiga, make them a laptop (or any kind of portable device) and a macmini-like desktop (like the redone from relec).
it all could be done if all developments/rights were in one company's hand. but after all theres a - even small - market.
or am i being too naive?:)

I'll bet it will have as much effect on the Amiga's future as it will on the unemployment line in West Chester.

@don27dog

I guess the amiga's future is as black as before starting the lawsuit :D

But if Hyperion wins at least we may see OS4 running on more hardware. Let's hope it's Mac Mini/iBook/PowerBook/G5, PSX3 and Sam440

Being an amigan today means having fun with your miggy and taking the max out of it, not wasting your time dreaming about amigas taking the world or OS4 on x86.

If OS4 ran on x86 it probably would miss compatibility with PPC and 680x0 code so it would be like AROS-x86. You can already run AROS-x86 so don't waste your time screaming for an x86 version.
