Ram-Handler Patch To 44.24?

I have seen a patch to upgrade Ram-Handler to V44.24 but have been unable to find it.  Could someone direct me to where it can be found?  On the Amikit site the most recent version is V44.23.  Thanks,

To save ROM space you can use the mathieeesingbas.library 40.4 for the FPU if you have a FPU and split the input device using the Remus/Romulus package and use the MorphOS input.device 50.26 from the Poseidon package which all works fine here.

I have found a bug in workbench.library where the workbench text will be the wrong color if no palette prefs settings can be loaded on startup. Easy work around is too save some palette prefs and make sure ENV: is set up correctly at startup. If anyone else knows of any other core OS updates or bugs in the ones mentioned I would like to know.

I believe there is some confusion here. Thomas Richter's patch gives a prerequisite of ram-handler 44.23 which means it is required for the patch. ram-handler 44.23 is the OS 3.9 BB2 version in the "AmigaOS ROM update" file in DEVS:. Richter's patch upgrades this to 44.24 (Edit: Wrong!). Use version to check (Edit: I took my own advice. See below.). That means the Amikit patch archive already has the 44.24 patch (Edit: Almost) :-). If you're part of Amikit (as it appears) then you might change the web page http://amikit.amiga.sk/patches.htm "ram-handler 44.23" to "ram-handler 44.24" and you might check about adding the FFS 45.15 patch from here...

Just remember that these patches can have bugs and cause more problems than they fix. It might be nice to have some of the older patches in case there is a problem with a newer one.

Forget what I said earlier. I did some more testing. The Amikit ram-handler does *not* bump the version. So we have...

AmigaOS 3.9 BB2
ram-handler 44.23 (04/08/01) = 9388 bytes

Amikit ram-handler patch
ram-handler 44.23 (04/08/01) = 9404 bytes

Remus ram-handler patch
ram-handler 44.24 (12/01/04) = 9192 bytes

In the Remus.guide under Requirements of all places I found...

"ram-handler.pch - Removes the BSS hunk.. works only with the OS3.9-BB2 ram-handler(v44.23). Don't worry, this patch includes Thor's (Thomas Richter) fix from Aminet. I just created the patch against the one from BB2 to save people from having to patch the ram-handler twice."

So Amikit should ask permission to use doobrey's 44.24 patch. Even though it doesn't fix any bugs, it is an upgrade because it is ROM able and smaller. It is also kind of nice that it bumps the version number making it less confusing ;-). I hope that's all cleared up now.

I'm sure he's refering to the IconBeFast package.  If you download it and read the docs you will see what he's talking about.
