Stop buying from ELBOX ! ? ! ?

Its nice to see that hardware is still being developed at any level wether it be large or small. But shouldnt we all stop buying from Elbox?
 The reason i say this is cos i think its dam unfair they keep the shark ppc card on there to entice people to buy the mediator busboards. They dont give any kind of update to it working or if it will ever come out so its dam obvious its a scam.
 I understand it would be hard, but its been on there so long they could of made it into a standard ppc style card and cut out the 680*0 chip. Isnt it about time they gave us an update on this or remove it from the website. We should start a petition on this imo and put these ghosts to rest.
 Also whats happening with the coldfire project? Can anyone get a formal update out of them on any of these? Its no wonder why people have started there own projects like the natami.
 Who would be up for starting a sticky thread petition? Hopefully get there attention.

Driving any of the last Amiga hardware producers out of the market for whatever reason isn't a good idea.

I've bought a couple of their products during the last 12 months (and I'd buy a bloody Shark or Dragon if they were out), but we don't have a "right" to information.  It's up to a decide whether they want to talk about their products or developments.

 Yep, Elbo* products are crap, but are crap from one of the last three "big" Amiga suppliers we have.

 Overpriced used Voodoo cards, re-flashed NEC USB card (then over-priced), vapourware and other complains...

 Judge from yourselfs. I have a Mediator, it just do the job for me (a Voodoo3 and a NIC), but it stops me to use a Subway! And I don't agree to spend USD83 (plus S&H and local taxes), then beg Chris to sell me a license for Poseidon. E3B products are far superior, and IC too.

Why? We have a lot of customers with SUBWAY and Mediators working together nicely, as many people prefer a real Amiga classic hardware solution which is supported in a good way by software. The flat ribbon cable of SUBWAY makes it possible to mount it below the bus board.
Where do you see a problem?

For whatever reasons Elbox has announced some time ago that they would manipulate their drivers to cease operation in the case of E3B hardware being present in the system, but they (AFAIK) have not dared to do so up to now (maybe because they finally understood that there are rules on the European market concerning fair business...).

Agreed - but there were no other USB 2.0 "highspeed" solutions availyble at the time - and the Spider2 was still significantly less expensive than Zorro-USB-cards at that time.

I sent a support request + some questions about SharkPPC and Dragon boards to Elbox on the 29th of July.  I got a response on the 30th including answer regarding SharkPPC and Dragon.

although i have my reservations about some elbox tactics and marketing practices, i have to applaud them for even releasing a fully functional PCI bus for a range of amigas.
and within the confines of the A1200 CPU connector. most A1200 accelerators can't understand external DMA, which is why the A1200 mediator has to do paging in the zorro2 address space. hence due to this, a shark will never ever happen.
i think the dragon hasn't been released due to compatability/speed problems.

not only that, but other products like the FastATA, and keeping these products and drivers uptodate! whats the fastATA upto these days, rev5?

although i am dubious of knobbleware built into elbox drivers, i cannot fault them for sticking it out in an ever shrinking market.

so i'd say thank you to
