Playing movies - help
« on: August 15, 2008, 01:59:46 AM »
I have purchased Moovid, downloaded and installed Thrivx-Moovid, OpenDIVX, and 3ivx. I have OS 3.9 and Action movie player.

I am getting the following type of errors:

1) 8/16/24/32bit only supported.

2) AVI_xvid codec unsupported.

What does one have to do to play a movie trailer?
 :-?

Buy FroggerNG. I hope that you have a fast PPC CPU or run UAE from a pc. Otherwise you won't be able to watch AVIs comfortably, anyway.

Unfortunately, the usable 680x0 codecs are getting out of date.

It sounds like you have a suitable MPEG4 codec, so if the video is not playing simply because it is marked as 'XVID' you should go in with a hex editor and change it to 'DIVX'
