-Can the CDTV use the a500 clockport addon?
-Is there a way to make PCkey 1200 use a ps2 connector instead of the Big Old Din style?
-Can i use two a2090 cards in my 1200t setup?
-Is there an easy way to mod the Apollo 1240 to use a 060cpu?
-How do i speed up Workbench without adding ppc?
-What is the FBAS and Y/C output used for on my Piccolo card?

Kickflash info here

PCKey info ... Yes, just use an AT to PS/2 adapter like the one below

Don't know about your other questions ... somebody else with the required knowledge will no doubt help out  :-)

Several A0290 cards can be used in an A2000, so probably yes. But the 2090 sucks, better use a decent HBA.

Getting a video signal out? FBAS=composite, Y/C=s-video

Adding a PPC won't make any difference to the speed of your Workbench (give or take a few PPC datatypes).

As long as you have a pinout diagram of the PCKey and match it to a PS/2 female socket, I can't see why not

Kickflash is kickstart in a flash RAM pack. Useful for add "modules" to your old ROM or even replace it totally. More info here.

Maybe. If you can find one and your CDTV have socketed chips... Only 35 where made.

Dessolder the old DIN and solder a mini-DIN (PS/2) plug using the pinouts.

Yes, depending on how much Zorro slots you have. But A2090 is crap, use at least A2091 (or another better controller).

Yes and no. Depends on the MACH chip you have in it (130: no-go | 131: yes!) and your electronic skills or $$$...

Using OS3.9 (+Warp, of course)? Not too much. Using AOS4.0, not mensurable, since the 68k CPU will be inactive.

 Already answered.
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

Thanx for good answers. My cdtv has socketed rom chip, so then it will work?

I know the a2090 is crap...But the reason for it is i have an a2 scanner with drivers for Amiga OS. And since the a2090 has an external connector and i have 2 spare 2090s i will use one of those.

Trying to get the most out of my 1200t...And my CDTV....My 500 and 500+ has retired and is placed on my shelf. So since the CDTV is a 500 with a cdrom, and I have a keyboard, scsi addon, floppy drive, mouse, joystick interface. I know that I can use a 500 acclerator with some work..So if i get one i can use my cdtv for more MIDI work together with my 1200T and other equipment in my studio.

So once again, thx for all help and answers :-D  :-D  :-(

you put rom updates, and drivers and stuff in there so you don't have to repeatedly reboot to run OS3.5/3.9/4 rom updates, and to have things like USB stacks available at startup for booting off of.
yes it will work if you have zorro slots, which it looks like you do...

-Can the CDTV use the a500 clockport addon?

yes

Quote

there is a keyboard adapter available. if it does only provide the big din type, then you can use a din2ps2 adapter...

Quote

yes, but the a2090 is a bit pants really. better off getting something  bit better

Quote
-Is there an easy way to mod the Apollo 1240 to use a 060cpu?

depends. how handy are you with a soldering iron?

Quote
-How do i speed up Workbench without adding ppc?

more ram, better CPU, SCSI based hard disk instead of IDE, and/or, a graphics card will make workbench a much more comfortable environment.

FBAS? you mean like composite video?
Y/C? as in superVHS?
basicy video output to a standard TV display device.

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD
