StrICQ, not working properly...

This is actually a problem I've had for ages now. I can't get StrICQ to work. Whenever I try to add a new user the program locks up. I've got no idea how to manually add a user, and www.stricq.com seems to be down.

Does anyone recognize this problem? As soon as I've filled in my nick, UIN and password and press save the whole program hangs.

Would appreciate any help.

Note: I am using the latest version and I've tried it out under both UAE and on an original, clean, A1200... both with and without any additional programs/patches installed besides the obviously needed ones...

AFAIK you have to create an account from a pc to get register and then everything should work fine with the amiga.

I'd use Jabberwocky, and find a Jabber server with a good ICQ transport if I were you. StrICQ v2.x is very early, and lacks a lot of features, and Doug has stated that he has no plans to develop it in the near future.

Thing is, I've already got an account. But I can't configure StrICQ to recognize it, it just hangs.

StrICQ never worked correctly fo me.
