Best way to refurbish Amiga Tower?
« on: July 22, 2008, 12:37:39 AM »
I am rebuilding my 3000T.
The main frame is in fair condition but had some surface rust etc on it.
I killed the rust with rust killer ;-)
Now I would like to refinish it.
Does anyone have experience with paints or other coating methods to do this?
I would like it to be fairly original but this is not an absolute priority.
Many mahalos.
Aloha!

The most original look would be to powdercoat it.
Quite expensive though.

If you want the tin in original shape, better use the services of a coating industry.

Ask for zinc electrochemical coat. That's the original. Only C= used a too thin coat over the iron (that's why it rusts over time)...
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

The case is not that big..so I really dont think the Powder coating will be too much money..go for it you will be happy with the result..
