Clockwiser reincarnated online
« on: July 10, 2008, 09:57:22 PM »
Hi,

In 1994 the Clockwiser puzzle game was released internationally for the Commodore Amiga computers, the CD32 console, MS-DOS and MS-Windows 3.1.

Clockwiser was a production of the Dutch developers Reinier van Vliet (programmer), me (graphics), Peter Schaap (programmer) and Ramon Braumuller (audio).

Peter Schaap and I have now re-released Clockwiser online as a free retro game, with the addition of new graphics and new functionality. You're invited for a visit to Playclockwiser.com for an impression.

Have fun, and if you you register (it's free, no catch) your achievements will be recorded into the highscores, the level you reached will be remembered and you will be able to replay previously played levels.

Future plans include re-introducing the Clockwiser level editor, enabling you to create your own puzzels and share them with others.

All the best,

Metin Seven

That's great, thanks for your support (although the publisher didn't pay us any royalties :-().

Good to see you're still keeping in touch with the land of the Miggy, Metin =).

Didn't Team Hoi also make the puzzle game which Divo published for the AM subscribers?

Thanks Odin! The Amiga will always keep a warm place in my heart.

Yep, we also created the puzzle game Cognition, published by the Dutch Amiga Magazine.

Clockwiser extra level packs
« Reply #5 on: July 11, 2008, 10:01:11 AM »
Hi again,

The original Clockwiser edition for the CD32 console included one or more extra level packs. If anyone can help trying to get back the extra level pack data from the CD32 version that'd be great and we'll be glad to mention you at the site.

Thanks in advance!

Ah yes, Cognition it was =). I still have that game around somewhere.

I'll have a look around for the CD32 version of Clockwiser, there should be some ISOs floating about on the internets.

Thanks Odin! In the mean time all level packs are recovered, but I am still searching for WHDload versions of our productions. WHDload are games that are prepared to be executed from a WinUAE-compatible Workbench HardDisk file, or am I wrong?

If you could somehow help with that I'd be very happy.

I've PMed you a link to an ISO of the CD32 version, which file(s) do you need? CLOCKCD*.LVL?
(Yes, moderators, I know it's against the posting guidelines. But...well...it's a dev asking for his own game..).

WHDload basically is an application which allows people to install games to harddisk which originally weren't intended to be installed to HD. It's not specifically meant for UAE usage but it works under emulation too ofcourse. Basically what one needs for installing a game to HD is whdload_usr.lha installed, original floppies of the game (or ADFs thereof, cracked versions won't work AFAIK) and a WHDload install file. All WHDload install files can be found on the WHDload webpage. Here's the Clockwiser install file for example
