Foodgasm
« on: July 08, 2008, 06:22:12 PM »
I didn't think it was possible for a toast-borne substance to induce arousal. But then I found this:

It's like Snickers on toast :-D

Isn't that just an expensive way of making a peanutbutter-nutella sandwich? Better keep it away from Scots, they'll try deep frying the bugger.

Actually, Nutella is candy compared to Nusspli. But it's only available in Germany.

Nutella is so sweet it shatters teeth. I only used the brand name due to a lack of knowledge of an English term for hazelnootpasta. Hazelbutter?  :-?

I used to think so too. Then a friend convinced me to try a deep fried Mars bar. It was fking amazing. The batter is crispy and the chocolate bar goes gooey... It's wonderful!

I quite like it actually, but then I do have a sweet tooth. I like it because it contains real cocoa, whereas a lot of similar products are chocolate flavoured. I love chocolate, but I *hate* chocolate flavour!

I don't think we have a specific word for it... probably just "hazelnut spread" or "chocolate spread" or any combination of the two :-)

even though nutella is easy to get here in the US I have NEVER seen an ad for it. You see Giada De Laurentiis of the food channel using it and my mother knows about it, of course.

and you aren't supposed to eat a lot of it at once. it's mixed with other stuff.
it's the mix of nuts and choclate which is wonderful.

I checked the grocery and next to the peanut butter was Nutella Hazelnut & Coco butter, so I bought a jar.

Quite tasty, but it's a little too sweet to eat too much at once. Was eating it on Graham crackers which was a very good combination.

There was also another brand of Hazelnut & Coco butter there also. Will try it in the future to see if it has a stronger nut flavor and is less sweet.
