In OctaMED save out as AIFF and then use a converter like:

Cheers, but I was trying to find a way to do it on the Amiga, so I can dump samples by MIDI to my Akai s3000xl which will only read sd2 samples.
At the minute I am using an old Mac connected to the sampler by SCSI to transfer samples.  This is, as you might imagine, {bleep}.

Oh right... I've never used SD samples on the Amiga... I'm not even sure it's possible...

SampleDumper on Aminet seems to work with your Akai and wav/aiff/8svx samples either over midi or scsi. I have an Akai S2000 but never tried the program. I usually use MESA (on Windows)to dump samples.

You DO NOT WANT to dump samples over MIDI. I only did it a few times but the sound I tried to dump had gone out of fashion before the bloody thing was finished. Trust us, you don't wan tit.

Also, the format of the sample shouldn't have any effect? As long as the program you're using to dump samples knows how to read it you should be fine. What program's you using on the Mack side?
