Any good console handlers for vimming?
« on: June 09, 2008, 05:44:59 AM »
I like Vim. I have vim 7.1 here on my OS4 machine and I have it at work and I have it on my linux boxes but they are all much more colourful than on my amiga.
When I turn on syntax highlighting all I get is bold and underline and that's a bit dull.
I've tried forcing it to do colours but then I get various grays and maybe a blue and a dull red, but it's still pretty drab (and not very readable).
I've tried running it in a shel on a new screen with a bit nicer palette, but it's still pretty nasty looking.
What I want is a console handler that will give me all the pretty colours I'm used to. Anyone know of anything?

Not meaning to hijack your thread, but is there a version of vim for the older amiga OSeses like 3.1?
