Wich ROM is this?
« on: June 05, 2008, 08:51:54 PM »
I'm going through all my stuff and I came across an old Rom chip.

It is a single chip (not paired) with a white lable with

4.13
9508

on it.  I can't even remeber which Amiga I yanked it out of :(

any clues?

It has 14x2 pins and looks like a Amiga ROM Chip.  Thats what I thought it was infact.  Cudda swarn I pulled it out of an A1200...  or was it a A2000???

Is there any posibility this is a 3.0 ROM?

no way, 28 pin is a classic SCSI rom chip package. Amiga rom chips are 40 pin. a1200 roms come in pairs.

Amiga 1 rom kickstarts are 20X2 40 pin chips. I think Countzero is right about this one. 4.13 is an older rom revision for GVP accellerator and SCSI boards. Someone upgraded and this is the old rom
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

Ok, tankz all.  That would be it I guess.  I've had about 20 Amigas in my life time and 10 to 1 I had that board and did the upgrade.

So is this thing workthless then?  Should I pitch it or does someone want it?

Not completely worthless. Could probably get $10-$15 for it on ebay??? I have a 4.03 rom that I could upgrade with that. If I could get it for the cost of shipping, I would be interested.
