http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/www.amigaworld.net

It looks like some DNS problem to me.
Code: [Select]
$ host www.amigaworld.net
Host www.amigaworld.net not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
Interestingly reverse works:
Code: [Select]
$ host 62.193.231.47
47.231.193.62.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer www.amigaworld.net.

Also, directly poking the webserver fails, too:
Code: [Select]
$ echo -ne 'GET / HTTP/1.1\r\nHost:www.amigaworld.net\r\n\r\n' | nc -n -v 62.193.231.47 80
(UNKNOWN) [62.193.231.47] 80 (www) open

Isn't there an issue with thousands of hosted sites for the past week?  I know a bunch of web sites (like Atariage) are/were down due to this.

I think someone mentioned there had bee some sort of fire where the servers are kept.

Don't know how true that is.

Very true apparently...

Edit..Having just finished reading the log, it seems as though they are still having troubles.

The amigaworld.net server is in france. The amigans.net server is in germany. The fire was in USA.

Kind of ironic seeing how someone posted a thread there asking why Morphzone was down.  The guy was getting flamed by rapid OS4 fans :-)

Yeah- I was about to make a crass comment on this thread asking if the lawsuit is now over since the site is down - maybe a major announcement? But didn't know if anyone would get it...

I must say the responses to the guy who posted was a bit creepy.

He was getting flamed? I must have missed that. All I saw was someone assuring him that MorphOS 2.0 was still scheduled for a Q2 release this year.

I wouldn't call it a flame-war but the last time I read the thread there was a comment slamming him pretty good. Then again, maybe there was a history with the poster from previous postings - donno - I stay out of the soaps usually.  :roll:
