CF Card Format - Disk Not Validated
« on: June 03, 2008, 04:50:52 PM »
I'm getting a 213 error when I format a 2GB CF card in my Amiga 600. The card takes about 3 hours to format then as it tries to finalise the error message "Disk Not Validated" comes up. Has anyone had this problem before, and if so how did you solve it? Am I going to need Disk Doctor or some such programme to validate this CF Card?

Try to format it using "QUICK" option. Or if you have a peecee format it using FAT32.

Tried the quick option. Same deal. Though I haven't tried the PC option. I'll give that a whirl.

Thanks Phantom. That worked a treat. Not sure why I didn't think of it. It's not like I haven't formatted CF Cards in WinUAE before. I must be tired. At least that's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it. :-D
