How Many Miggy's are Still Alive Today?

Out of curiosity I was wondering if there has ever been a study done to see approximately how many Miggy's are still alive and in use today?

No amiga has ever been alive to my knowledge, so 'not many' should be alive today.

About the 'in use' part, that's anyone's guess. AFAIR there are no *reliable* estimates of how many amigas were ever produced. An unknown miniscule fraction of which is probably hoarded by the about 50 people who regularly visit amiga.org.

Seriously, if you know, I will know. AFAIK there aren't even any remote numbers of how many Amigas ever were made, let alone how many still are around on this world.

1 - A4000 Rev. D (CR) - excellent condition
1 - CD32 with SX32 - excellent condition
1 - A4000D (in tower case) with CS PPC - good condition
1 - A4000D Dead

So, you can count 5 working classic Amigas from me

There's no way to know, but my own home computer lab has become a bit of a sanctuary where Amigas can find safety from the cruel, hard world. Got six live ones and two dead ones at present. (Need me a cheap 500 next.) The dead ones have donated vital organs so that others might enjoy a better quality of life in their senior years. (Have I carried the metaphor too far?)

Seems there are more Amigas in use than actual users, as so many people have multiple machines. A measure of the activity by unique users on all the fora might give an idea of how many users are hyper-active. I'd love to know how many Deneb USB cards get sold as another type of measure of the enthusiasm for the classic hardware. Looks like I was lucky to get one of the first batch that was sold out at AmigaKit.

My Dad's got about another 3 A1200s, a 500 and a 500+ in the loft, I hope they still work.

My A4000 was delivered today (A UPS email says it's in my garage).  It was one of the 20 sold on eBay last week and I hope it works!

Also, I've got:
1 x A3000 NTSC
1 x A2000 PAL/NTSC ECS
1 x A1200 PAL
2 x A1200T NTSC
1 x CD32 PAL

All of which will be on eBay next month so that I can clear up some space in my office.  I don't think it's fair for me to just hang onto machines so that they just gather dust and I'd rather see them end up in the hands of user or at least a collector who will display them.

I have roughly 50 working Amiga's.

But I don't think that's what this thread was meant to be; a count.

Seeing that there are no fixed numbers on sold Amiga's makes it even more hard to find out how many of those survive today. I do find them in the strangest places, I am picking up a couple A2000's, A1200's and A500's in a ZOO! (they used them in info stands)

Also there are many stories of people finding them in the dump or skip, makes you wonder how many end up there without anyone seeing...
