@mfletcher

I don't think it the real McBill, and I also don't think it was Doomy who made that up, cos that message tells such an obvious thruth ....
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Yep, I remember that.  Somebody sent him a question asking if it was included.  :-)

I wonder if he even has this computer or whether its a stock photo which he uses every few months.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

The seller doesn't mention one word about the CPU - of course that means it's only got an EC030...

Two things strike me as peculiar about whether it is indeed Doomy's hand at work:

1) The avatar for the seller is not Doomy - if he's impersonating as someone else thats very suspicious.
2) The account was registered back in 2000. I doubt if Doomy had the forethought to register an alternative account way back when in case his main account got closed/suspended by Ebay.

Notice that the account hadn't been used since 2002 until a few weeks ago. Also notice that it had a 100% feedback rating until then as well. He's clearly borrowed/stolen the login credentials from someone who doesn't use it anymore.

The picture kinda looks like him... could be a relative.

Well 2+4MB were stock for an A4000/40, so that makes sense.

Actually, if we would assume it wasn't Doomy, look at the almost new condition seen in the pic one might think it's a reasoable offer ..... offcourse only after remembering that the $ has only little more value than toilet-paper these days that is  :flame:

Ugh! Now you've got me paranoid that anyone I deal with from west of the Mississippi for Amiga goods is going to be Doomy!  :-o  :-?

Looks like doomy's dad is getting in on the action by the looks of the photo.

the stand under the 4000 looks familiar from a doomy video too..

its gotta be him.

"We have been watching Retrogeeks passion and drive within the Amiga market.
Of all the Amiga fora, Retrogeeks forum, his standing in the community and his customer focus most closely matches ours at Amiga Inc.

I have joined this forum to offer support and advice to anyone wishing to assist us in the development of OS5.

Long live the Amiga!

Bill McEwen"

Yes the irony is missed by most! damn even Doomy thinks that he is being complimented....

Wasn't doomy rabidly non-paypal?

I still don't see the fascination with the guy.  I mean, all you're doing is helping him advertise his crap, but still.

take a look at where the large photo of the Amiga is located:
http://retrogeekcomputers.com/eBay/Amiga4000withKeyboard.jpg
I think that pretty much is a give-away for Doomy, right ??

EDIT: In the parent directory you can see more images, so you know what stuff to look out for as being Doomy stuff ;) http://retrogeekcomputers.com/eBay/
