« on: May 13, 2008, 01:04:15 PM »
Hi people. I bought a Belkin KVM switcher thing years ago. Its a two port one with built in wires. I really can't remember how to use the damn thing! I know you press something on the keyoard but I can't remember what. Does anyone out there know?

Thanks
Nick

I saw one KVM switch recently on a friend of mine and IIRC it's something about Scroll-Lock (and maybe something else)

I believe alt, shift or ctrl-scroll lock.

If it doesn't have a manual button, most of them switch by the following key sequence.

Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock (twice in rapid succession)
1-9 (Port number you want.)

E.g.
Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock, 2   (FOR PORT 2)

Some of them also let you do-
Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock, UP ARROW           or
Scroll Lock, Scroll Lock, DOWN ARROW

To toggle through ports one at a time.

If that doesn't work, I suggest using google to look up the manual as Belkin is still in  business.

I think, Therefore - Amiga....

Thanks. I thought it was something with scroll lock, but also at the same time remembered a year or so ago I plugged it into 2 computers and couldn't get it to work.
