Hi from revived amiga fan
« on: May 08, 2008, 04:53:27 AM »
Hi all, a new member here from Australia who's just dusted off his A600 from the garage. Termites had eaten through my shelves in the garage and while cleaning up the debris i noticed a crushed box with my A600 and CD32, Of course i had to check to see if they worked. 3 hours into Ports of Call i remembered how much i loved the amiga. I got my 1st A500 when they where new here with Fa interceptor and kick off, Later i upgraded the ram and bought and external floppy for D&D pools of radiance.

I have now bought 3 of those 2.5" ide to cf adapters and a 1g cf card with the intention of using winuae (my 2.1 install discs are dead) to create a mountable cf with WB 2.1, The biggest problem seems to be finding a 44pin ide cable, these seem quite illusive here! The other intent is to find a sx adapter for the cd32

I'm glad to be back with my amiga

Hi and welcome. :-)
There are a couple of places you can buy 44-pin ribbon cables here in Australia.

Here's one.

And another

Just try googling 44-pin cable with the 'pages from Australia'  option selected.
A500, A600, A1200, A2000, A4000D, A4000T, CD32

Thats excellent, thanks

Pity i can't find a store in brisbane, i'll learn to be patient.

Im glad to say the cd32 is running fine, it's a shame the cd lid is cracked with a chunk missing after the shelf fell on it.

This forum has answered all my questions without asking, Great stuff and im glad theres a strong community for the amiga.
