WTB: A3000
« on: May 03, 2008, 07:33:43 PM »
Hi there,

I'm after an A3000 at the moment. Just a basic machine will do, no need for loads of extra hardware and software but a box + manuals would be a nice extra if possible. 2 internal floppy drives would also be nice but if theres just 1 then I won't be too fussy.
Condition-wise the more tidy, the better. Not too yellow if possible but i'd be intrested in any condition. The one thing that will be needed is a compatible keyboard, though if I have to I can source one elsewhere.
Im in the UK so within the UK would be most ideal but I would also consider buying outside as my A4k was easy enough to get (from Europe) so im not afraid either way. :-)

Thanks for looking.

P.s. If you got one you want to get rid of just post here or better, PM me.

P.p.s. Sorry MODs I accidentally posted this in hardware, feel free to change it and remove this text when done. :headwall:

If you arn't sure then keep it, I only really want to buy from someone who is positive about selling it. Feel free to think about it but i'm not sure what price you will be looking for.

I'll give it some thought and will let you know.

As for the price, don't worry.  I'm a reasonable guy.

I need to get around to putting mine on eBay soon as all it is doing is gathering dust since I expanded my A2000.

It's in good exteral condition, complete with original keyboard and 2 floppy drives.  The mobo is fully populated with RAM, but I need to run SysInfo and find out what revision chips are in it.

When I got it I found the battery had started to leak so I removed it and cleaned up the "frosting".

I did have it decked out with a Cybervision 3D64, a Bhudda IDE card and a couple of hard drives.  I just got pissed off with it as there was nowhere handy to mount an internal CD ROM.  I was contemplating cutting the casing above the floppy drives and mounting a slimline PC laptop drive there (it should work nicely) using the Bhudda as the IDE controller.  The cards got pulled and went into my A2000 so it is back to basics now.
