Snooker final
« on: May 03, 2008, 01:01:36 PM »
I'm going to see the second session of the snooker final at the Crucible - managed to get hold of a couple of tickets to the evening session (second session) as a 60th Birthday (and retirement) present for my Dad. Am goingto surprise him with it after watching the afternoon session tomorrow :-D .

Ronnie O'Sullivan seems to be in top form, should be a good evening's entertainment!
Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

That's a great present indeed for your Dad. If Ronnie stays in his current form your Dad should see something amazing. Ronnie now has more 147 breaks than Hendry (9) and will probably beat his 16 century breaks record in the final :-)

Ronnie's great play is said to be right up there with the tennis of Roger Federer and the golf of Tiger Woods 8-)

Ronnie will definitely kick Ali's *ss - sorry for that Ali, it's been an excellent performance for the championship, but I don't think you can handle the Rocket... ;-)

Yep! Ronnie will will probably win by about 18 - 5. I guess it's only fiitting that the two players who made 147 maximums should meet in the final.

I've made a 70 break myself on a half sized snooker table, but only 26 on a full sized one

@ Boot_WB

Hope you'll let us know how your Dad reacts to getting the present and what he has to say after going to the event :-)
