CDTV Keyboard Pinout Needed Urgently
« on: May 03, 2008, 09:02:29 AM »
Ok, I've Googled my ass off, only been able to find one pinout list for the CDTV and it is wrong, wrong, wrong!

It states that Pin 2 is Data...there is no Pin 2 in a CDTV keyboard port, nor in the connector.

I got everything laid out, heated soldering iron, modified PS2 connector (removed Pin 2) and now I find the pinout info I've got isn't correct and can't find any other anywhere!

Please help me! :boohoo:

Try one of these two documents from Aminet and see if you can extract the data you need from them.

Good Luck,

Thanks Jeff, I'll check them later once transferred to the miggy.

Unfortunately upon using a multimeter to hit my modified cable cut from a PC keyboard, I've found that Pin 3 is also going to the outer ring, so I'll need to wait until I can buy a plug...bummer.

For anyone else wanting to mod the CDTV keyboard for standard Amiga use, you don't have to solder. If I remember correctly I was just able to pull out this pins somewhere and just re-insert them in the correct position without soldering.

I saw directions on Aminet back in the day.
