FA: Broken Amiga 2500
« on: April 26, 2008, 08:24:59 PM »
Hi there,

I was the unlucky sucker who purchased a rather expensive 2500 on eBay last year, to find out it doesn't work. Anyway, it's back on eBay for 99 cents.

Link...

I didn't really care to find out what was wrong with it since I'm selling off all my classic stuff. The machine is missing its floppy drive and does not have an accelerator either. I forgot to list the mb rev and will add that in...

And interesting tid-bit about this machine is that it was last listed by our favorite new Amiga mil-spec singer.

Hi

Shame about the writing all over it. Intrigued at the cost of bubble-wrap. That battery doesn`t look too bad, the 2000 hasn't got much in the way of tracks passing near by. Its the case that has value... Just wish it was in the UK.

I haven`t got a 2500 :-(

Saw your 128 with the marks on the keyboard... Think you need to put the magic markers away. :-)

Yes, well Mr. Campbell also put his graffiti all over the floppy drive. When I opened the case, I had the strange feeling I was in a public bathroom.

The bubble-wrap thing is that I had to order a couple big rolls of it and well, it's not cheap. I pad the Amigas with a lot of bubble wrap. I add the surcharge to make sure I recover that cost somehow. Not very intriguing.

I should have cleaned the the C128. It never crossed my mind. It's like that sometimes. My wife has to remind me to take a bath once or twice a month. I'm just kidding. I actually do shower every week or so.
