Looking for GoldED
« on: April 22, 2008, 04:55:10 PM »
In the past, I always used GoldED as my favourite texteditor, but now I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore. As far as I can remember it was freeware but Google nor Aminet give me a result as where to download it.

Does anyone know if it is to be found somewhere, or am I looking for a discontinued commercial program?

Far from discontinued, it's part of the CubicIDE suite. A full copy of an older version is on Aminet CD 32 (not freely distributable).

Hmm, it seems CubicIDE needs at least OS 3.5, and I want it on my WB3.1 A2500. Does anyone have a spare Aminet 32 CD lying around? :-)

EDIT: reading on that website I see that the demoversion can only save up to a few hundred lines of text. I remember the GoldED that I used back then had a limit of 1000 lines, so it must surely have been available back then as some sort of shareware/demo package. Maybe it's on some other CD that I have...
