I prefer 'em corn-bases, not potatoe based.

White corn tortilla, unsalted, with a medium, chunky salsa (really hot stuff tends to get foamy and lose its flavor).

you mean fries, we mean chips. crisps over here are potato chips made from dehydrated potatoes.  what you call chips we call steak fries. (and before it comes up french fries are potatoes cut french style- thin stips and then fried not the country of origin)

i like sunchips chedder ones, or french onion.
Oh yeah?!?
Well your stupid bit is set,

Chop the potatoes into large wedges, deep fry them in canola oil and serve them with a little salt and (malt) vinegar.

Tried that...
And I'm not eager to try that again :nervous:

Don't worry - all the carbohydrate will be cancelled out by all the fat!

Nothing. There's nothing wrong with a bacon sarnie. It's when you have them every day that you'll get problems :-)

In all seriousness, I really don't think it's wise to cut out a whole food group. You need carbohydrate!

You're right, I should say, refined carbohydrate (including rice and potato).

Ahhh ok. You need glucose too - so have some bloody chocolate ;-)

Actually, I think chocolate is really good for you. It contains:
- Cocoa (a bean - probably one of your 5-a-day)
- Milk (high in calcium and protein)
- Sugar (comes from a plant so how bad can it be? Probably also counts as a vegetable!)

In other words, if you don't eat it you might die!
