Holy F**k have resulted in my first music purchase since December :-o It's the first album since In Rainbows which has piqued my interest. Lovely Allan doesn't seem to be typical of the album so I would recommend listening to the samples on iTunes!

My brain thinks it should get funkily depressed. The combination of a depressing voice and a subdued uplifting beat is a strange one. I'd rather listen to this. Perhaps not original, but at least it doesn't tear my emotions in two.

I love contradictions in music. I discussed this with another guy I know, and his thought was that our perception of music has similarities with humour. It's an aspect of our cultural perception 'decision tree'. Contradictions forces us to make decisions.
