Ide - Fix Express Question Broken or not?
« on: April 14, 2008, 06:09:29 PM »
Hy!
I got a n Ide-fix express kit with the 4 way adapter.the cd rom and harddisk works only with the 4 way adapter.

so is my idefix express broken or do i have to put idefix drivers somewhere before i install the express adapter?

Os3.5 is installed

when i connect the express adapter the 1200 will not boot up from harddisk,

is the express adapter  (the one on the gayle chip broken?)

i'm asking cause i got cd driver problems cause i can't intall the cd driver from ide-fix cause when i wanna install idefix drivers it tells me express board not connectet.

so only using the  way adapter with drivers from the emergency disk causes me trouble it only works after booting first with the emergency disk..then without the emergency disk when i do a soft reboot from harddisk the cd rom gets noticed but when i do a cold boot it says...."cannot open "Scsi.device"unit 1

I remember having trouble creating the emergency disk and had to rename the drivers from"atapi-device" to "scsi device"

Thanks for any advice!!

Oh and i could install idefix 97 drivers again i bet it would work again, but then i get those annoying popups regarding the liscence key....and i don'want that cause i got the idefix express software which couldn' install because of the maybe broken idefix express.....
