Video Toaster Software
« on: April 08, 2008, 08:03:54 PM »
Hi All,

Looking to find the standard video toaster software and/or lightwave.  Anyone know where I can find it and/or does anyone want to sell me theirs?

Thanks,

Dave

Email Newtek with your Toaster Serial #, but have plenty of Coffee to hand. Make it 6 months supply to be safe!  :-D

@Kin-Hell

Ahh, THAT's where I've been going wrong - e-mailed them on Monday, no reply. E-mailed them again just a few minutes ago. Forgot I should wait 6 months for a reply!
Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

Call NewTek instead of emailing them and order the last Amiga CDROM version of their software created v4.3.  The price quoted me was US $29.95.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

A phone call got me sorted out in about 20 minutes. I'm still waiting for a response to my email! :-)

I live about 10 miles away from NewTek's office out here in San Antonio.  I have been thinking about stopping by there for years now.

I havent used VT software since my A2500 crashed.  Does the last Amiga version support the Toaster 2000?  If so, it will convince me to put a new drive in my 2500 just to mess with it again.

Yes, it should work fine with your VT2000.  If not a VT4000 will work fine in your A2500, except it will not be able to display the color transition wipes like an A4000 can.  Toaster boards are fairly cheap and readily available these days on eBay and elsewhere.
