OK, select the moovid icon, and then "info" from the menu (or press "right-Amiga" & "i"). Go to "tooltypes", and set the apropriate dither : (DITHER=)
es. DITHER=P96
Should work (select the apropriate display driver). Also check the other options that suit you.

Perhaps you should read the documentation. MooVId is an excellent program that only requires a little thought to use.

I use DITHER=PIP on my VooDoo3. It performs much better because it
lets the card handle the window graphics. Or something like that.

If I remember correctly, the P96 dithering is only for people with the
actual Picasso video card.

No, that is the Picasso96 video driver system that comes with the AOS3.5 & 3.9 (there is support for the UAE & Amithlon also).

@Gav
Don't get upset, take a look on the documentation (shell parameters), where everything is explained.

As for the example, when you erase the parentheses () , the parameter gets activated (note that you don't have to use the <>, just insert a value -string or number-  ).

Here are the parameters:
(NOSOUND)
(NOSKIP)
(FPS=)
(LOOP)
(NOVIDEO)
(PUBSCREEN=)
(WINX=)
(WINY=)
(MABFIX)
(NOSURROUNDMONO)
(WINDOWPLAY)
(AKIKO)
(NOGUI)
(SDBL)
(FAITH2k)
(FORCE16)
(LORES)
(HIRES)
(SHIRES)
(ZORRO2)
(DITHER=)
(NOCENTER)
(MONITOR=)
(AUTOPLAY)
(NOAUTOEXIT)
(GFXBOARDSCREENWIDTH=)
(GFXBOARDSCREENHEIGHT=)
(BUFSIZE=)
(DEFAULTPATH=MOV:)
(COLORKEY)
(NOPPC)

Try to experiment yourself. Note that some parameters may create problems (like the "akiko" one, which is used for the CD?? custom chip), so better left as they are (in parentheses).

Mpeg is another codec (might be very compressed an needs much cpu for audio&video decoding). You should give a try to other players also (like amidog's player and frogger).
As for the Moovid, try increasing the buffers:
(BUFSIZE=)
and set the AHI to Paula, uses less CPU power.
