Commodore MOS part 2
« on: April 02, 2008, 08:36:46 PM »
I was given the phone number to the owner of the Commodore MOS builing so this search leads to some interesting places.

I'll make the call but I want everyone to be positive, be courteous because I'm using the users here as my clout and remember that we're trying to do everything ethically and legally because we want to succeed.

@ ChuckT

Well done; personally I really appreciate your efforts whatever the outcome.  Thanks.

I talked to the owner and he gave me the number of the real estate agent and he said the building is completely gutted.  There are no signs of what went on in there and he said the building is a shell.  The owner went in there 8-10 years ago and took out the partitions and what is left is trash.

They gave me permission to photograph the building for my own personal use (as a sense of history) so they have no problems with that.

It is the end of the road on this front.

Eh, there isn't even really much trash left.

Took a ride up to see for myself and got some pics.

Found a couple of golf balls on the front lawn, that's about the only souvenier I thought to take.

Good job guys!

(I wish I could convince some guys to go take some pics of Amigainc current HQ! Last photo showed it as some office above a bakery/coffee shop. Which is it: bakery or coffee shop?) :-?

And they say the ground is contaminated.  If the tulips don't mind, neither should the neighbors!

I like the tulips photo. The flowers really make a good contrast to the ugly wall. Cool beans, what camera was that?

Excellent job Tone and excellent pictures!!  Did you go through the trash cans marked Haz in the one picture to make sure there were no microchips or A3000T motherboards waiting to be found? ;)   I think you have done more than enough that we can file this away along with Geraldo's Al Capone's Vault as a well intentioned but dead ended wild goose chase.  It has been fun following this thread from the beginning.  Hopefully someday we'll have someone in the Philippines really find the hidden stash of lost Commodore Amiga gold.  A BIG Thank-You to everyone involved in this treasure hunt!!!!
