I want to introduce my self a little...
« on: March 24, 2008, 11:27:57 PM »
Hello to everyone!

My name is Mathias and i live in Germany.
My first Computer was a C16 when i was 5 Years old :-)
Some years later i got a C64 with the legendary Datasette...

Then i saw a friends Amiga 500 and was amazed what this machine could do! Some month later i got my A2000D (which i own until now!)
I started to write some little Programms in AmigaBASIC and found that this was not my preferred language! So i tried
Assembler and after some years i got better :-D
After writing my first commercial Programms i buyed a A4000D (at the Computer'92) with 68040 and 120MB-HD!
At this time i started to learn programming in AmigaE and making some PD-Software-Stuff (like the E-DEVeloper, an IDE for AmigaE).
After the big Commodore-Crash i bought an Amiga1200 from Amiga Technologies (to "help" the firm, but i thought i should have better bought 2 or 3 of them :-(   )

Then i started to programming linux-Stuff on PC (because of my work i have to do a lot of things on PC - so i had very little time for my AMIGA...)

Some years ago i decided to do some more for the AMIGA and started to design some Turbocard for my A4000D, but the Coldfire-CPUs at this Moment were not compatible enaugh (V2-Cores) so i designed a small system with little RAM, some FPGA making basic VGA-Graphics and PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse. Now this Project has grown up and a lot of Work has been done (like ColdFire V4e-native EXEC-Kernel is 75% done).

So if there are some interessted developers (which are familar to Amiga-Assembler-Programming and / or OS-Programming) feel free to contact!

Greets,

Mathias

Hi,

@Mathias

Why do all the wannabees bring there simple little projects

Everybody knows Coldfire CPU's are Passe.

Welcome, if you take this seriously, I have some swampland

Is that where they have some rodent predict the weather like they used to do in Mediaeval Europe?

Welcome to Amiga.org!

There seem to have been a few FPGA developers coming out of the woodwork lately which can only be a good thing! :-D

I was reading lately that the V4e is almost compatible enough (despite instructions that give different results) to things like EXEC with the cf68klib loaded. Is that true? I understand that for best performance a coldfire native binary would be better but can a V4e +cf68klib run 680x0 amiga binaries well enough to run EXEC?

Where abouts in sydney are you from Marcb? I was thinking of getting a group together to check out whichever remaining Amiga user groups there are left out here.

Parramatta. I know there's one out at epping. Not much else on the scene though. Quite tragic really.
