Latest version of RTG master and what does it do?

Hi,

Can someone please tell me what RTG master actually does and what the latest version is? I'm installing some games on my new HD setup and I need to install it.

It's a graphics API which is compatible with multiple video drivers, including AGA, ECS and CyberGraphX. There are several different versions on Aminet.

No problem! By the way, I had problems with RTGMaster games under CyberGraphX 3. I upgraded to CGX 4 and all the problems went away. Might be something to consider if you have similar problems.

motorollin,

Can you remember what problems you had with it? I just tried V42 with Napalm and it hung up twice.

No hanging problems here. The problem I had was as follows:

Quick responses in this place. I'll try a couple of more games and see how I go. I hope it is a CGFX issue otherwise I have som other problem that is making the game crash on a newly installed OS3.9

Can V4 be installed over V3 easily enough?

Yes, just upgrade over the top of V3. What exactly happens when you run the game by the way?

I've just been trying it again and it was working fine. When I first tried it it first just hung up and the second time after  a reboot an error message appeared. Wish I wrote it down as I haven't seen it since.

On another note, considering I have a Warp engine 040/40Mhz and a CV64 3D it's a lot slower than I expected at the 640 high res setting.
