« on: March 17, 2008, 05:24:01 AM »

Seems liek you need to send it to JJB at AmigaCenter.
Or you can try to resolder each component (mainly the 68k).
Keep the Faith !

Have you looked closely @ the edge of the 060 CPU?
Does it appear to be sitting square to the CPU socket?

Support the card & look at gently pushing down on the 060 CPU to make sure it`s seated squarely & correctly.

Also look at the plastic accelerator spacers. They are the right size?

Some people don't care to remove the original-A3640 spacers when installing a CS board, and the PPC spacers are smaller than the originals!
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

Let us know what the problem was.  This seems to be a common problem with the CSPPC.  I hope mine never does it.  Unless of course in fixing in Amiga Centre can increase the RAM capacity  :-D

Hi! sent it over to the Amiga centre should arrive tomorrow
hope he can repair it. I dont think its too serious must find some original spacers too that will fit a 4000T as this may have something to do with the problem as the ones holding it in place were slightly to long any way as I said I hope he can wave his magic wand and revive it.
cheers

Should've saved my spacers for you! :-)   I put mine in a box when I got the CSPPC, because I didn't need them in my A3000UX.  That box hasn't been seen since!

That sounds like a doable project for some genius Amiga user/owner!  I wonder what the limitation is that keeps the CSPPC from being able to use SIMMs greater than 128mb?  The Blizzard board can take 256mb SIMM, or am I wrong and does the Blizzard board have 128mb on the accelerator and another 128mb on the SCSI module?  I have never had one, or even seen one.

All said and done, it should be possible for the right person to modify the CSPPC to recognize more than 128mb.  Yes? or No?
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

It's most likely a limitation of the RAM controller and not really feasible to do.
I'm guessing what would be easier would be if someone knew the pinout of the expansion connector, and building a RAM card for it.

You mean the expansion connector that the CyberVision uses?

Yep!  I've thought for a long time about building a RAM card for it, but, well, if you saw all the projects I am already in the middle of...
